What type jobs can a 50yr. old obtain? it seems to warrant discrimatory...?

I'm old too. I make money online now. You sit at your computer and you answer yes/no surveys. They are about 3 minutes long and you give your opinion. You get paid for each survey that completes. You are in the same "boat" as many folks, Miss D. There are too many people looking and not enough jobs for them. Unless a person has a degree or lots of experience in certain fields, they are kind of stuck right now. I recently attended a job fair that approx. 6000 persons showed up for. It took 2 1/2 hours in line just to get inside the fair and the employers hiring were very few with limited fields to choose from...please forget all these "make money at home / online surveys" websites - most, if not all, are scams that are flourishing due to the conditions right now. My advice is to keep on looking, and maybe try for training in a new field. Your state may have training and / or schools available. The best to you :}

I am 50 and I work 3 jobs because I want to not because I have to. What I have experienced is that it's harder for older people to find employment because of their attitudes rather than their aptitudes. I see older workers as more experienced and more reliable than younger people. Older workers can offer a good 15-20 years of stability to a company where a 20 year old will be looking for marriage, children, relocation, more money, better titles, etc. I am happy just doing what I do... I'm good at it and I enjoy it. Are you looking for *A* job or *THE* job???
