What is an Account Executive in marketing?

Please guide to choose a proper career?

  • I have completed my engineering in information science and currently i am working as a account management executive in an online marketing company and my salary is also very low.Do you think i have good career in this.. please help me

    It depends on the industry you are in, if you are in IT sales account management you can move ahead to become key account manager etc in a sales career and later move to bigger companies like microsofT, cisco etc who needs such people. If you feel you may not have a future with this then, you can have a career change depending on the qualification that you have. If you are a developer you can move that side - look in telecom software development since this is emerging and in demand. You might need to do some additional courses here - say CRM, ERP, Billing & Mediation, Siebel, Networking (CCIE, Juniper etc) which are areas in demand these days. Hope this helps.
