If i was to work at a magazine?

Magazine Companies: Where can I go to work for a big magazine company without going to NY, LA, or Chicago?

I'm a senior in high school and I'm really thinking about my future. I wanna be a journalist/magazine writer. I don't want to live in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, or any big cities like that. I want to live in either Texas or New Orleans, LA. PROBLEM: I've never heard of a big magazine company in Texas or Louisiana. I'm interested in these magazines: Cosmopolitan, Vogue, Marie Claire, Seventeen, (or even Sports magazines). But I don't know where I can work for a magazine and be really successful and still live in the COUNTRY. Please help me? :)
