How do I get back to my Career after a gap of one year?

  • I am an IT Professional with 9 years of experiance. I had worked as a Project Manager till November 2008 and thereafter taken a career break due to personal reasons. My techical skill set includes .NET/J2EE. I have worked with MNCs like Infosys technologies Ltd and Accenture Services Ltd. Now after a gap of almost a year I want to get back to my career again. I would like to know as what would be the impact of the career gap on my CV and What skills /certifications are recommended that will help me to get back to my career.
