How would a 16 year old get his working papers without having to go to school?

I want to get my working papers in new york city, But its summer and my school is closed, so i cant get working papers over there. Please can anyone tell me how I can get them, or where I can get them in new york city? Thanks--

Try calling the school district. Most schools are still open in the summer (front office), so they should be able to help. Call first and I'm sure they can help you. Usually the counselors can tell you where to go. If your school has a career center, they should definitely be able to help out.
