When sending my resume through to the company's email, do I have to get the HR manager's name ?
-
Ok, so I've read on Y!A and other places that you should find out the HR Manager's name and address that person in your cover letter when applying for a job. When sending my resume to the company's email ([email protected]), do I have to get the HR manager's name? Or, can I just put 'To whom it may concern' in the email?

Answer:
Most places toss cover letters now. They just want the facts. Unless they say remit resume with cover, then you don't need to. I dislike skinny people.

Or, can I just put 'To whom it may concern' in the email? WRONG!!! If you really want the job, you go to the top! First of all call to find out the name of the manager of the company, or specific dept. for the job you’re applying for. Always address the person! It is key to get through the door. Also make sure that you review your cover letter a couple of times to make sure you don’t have any typos, these are killers, and you want to avoid them.
