Are there better sites for job search than craigslist?

  • I am currently looking for a part time job for extra money for university. And I need help. Currently I am mostly looking on Vancouver Craigslist for extra jobs and gigs. I do Graphic design as well so I use the gig section a bit and the media section. I also try to find customer service or more stable jobs. I have found security jobs for holiday season but things are going slow. So To speed up my job search I need better resources. So which site is better than craigslist for this situation. Kijiji doesnt have enough or it doesnt have one time jobs or little things to do while i am looking. So any ideas?

Lots of places advertise on the evening news, or at least they tell you who is hiring right now. Otherwise you can apply thru a temp agency, or can just apply where you wish to work in person.
