What jobs are in the music industry?

Realistic jobs in the music industry....?

  • Is there such a thing? I am looking for a job in the industry and i want it to be a stable well paying job. I'm asking because i want to pursue music but at the same be in a secure position to do so... Could someone give me some good ideas?

  • Answer:

Equipment repair is a good business, especially if you can fix vintage mixers, amps, guitars, etc. Musicians, as a collective, are very fond of their gear, so they're willing to pay a lot when the need a certain piece to work right. To get into that, start researching vintage gear, study electronics, try building your own circuits, and ideally get a degree in electrical engineering with a minor in music,or something like that. It's hard work and requires specialized knowledge, but the upside is that you get to play with gear all day.
