What medical job should take?

Torn on what job to take? Need help!?

  • Basically im stuck on what job to take. I got offered a job for OCS Retail Support. Hours are very flexible as you get to choose what assignment you want to do and however many you wanna do. They tend to be over night jobs though and the wage is £5.50 p/h plus travelling expenses. Due to start March the 6th and will have my first pay cheque on the 15th. The second job i got offered, which was today, is business support. Telemarketing job which you help businesses find possible employees etc. the wage here is minimum wage for an 18 year old, but have to do 5 days training unpaid first and not a guaranteed job. the hours are better though as they are 9 till 5. What should I do?

  • Answer:

I would not consider the telemarketing job, the fact that they want you to train without pay is not good. Also you would likely be doing "cold" calling and if you did not attract enough clients they would dump you immediately.

Other answers

I agree with the first two answerers for the reasons they both mentioned. Rather than be permantly unemployed I would choose telemarketing. Otherwise steer clear. Go for the retail job. Good luck...

Retail blows, but the retail job sound like it is more promising for longevity. You should take what will be the best for the future. Retail also has many opportunities for promotions.
