I need help with getting my first part time job.

I really need to find a part time job! help?

  • hello, lately i have been looking for a job. i am 19 years old man, and i realize that i need to get a job since i am getting older and try to move out from my parents. i applied jobs on online many times ago, and they never called me back. i also went to see in person to get a job but everyone tell me that they either say they are not hiring or looking for someone who is experienced and always tell me to apply on online. i really do not have significant job experience, i have worked in a small restaurant as a cashier but just got fired during job training for about 3 to 4 weeks because i wasn't doing great and was not really taking it seriously. i really need to find a job, and is there any good website or anyway to find a job fast and guarantee for getting a job position?

The upside of getting a job is to have good work ethics. You mentioned in your comments that you had a job, but was fired during training. Managers are not going to tolerated poor performance when there are 100 other applicants waiting to replace you. My suggestion for you is to obtain a marketable skill, by deciding what it is that you want to do, i.e. computers, machining, auto mechanic, drafter, welding, etc.apply on line for financial aid then enroll in a community college and become certified. I believe your parents will allow you to live at home while going to college. Otherwise, you are going to drift from job to job.

No websites really help that much unless you have a degree and are going on monster.com with a resume.

Why part time? If you are not in school, you should probably go for full time. Bite the bullet- be willing to learn. Look for jobs that say "Will train" or "no experience necessary". When you meet potential employers, don't mention the restaurant that you worked at. If they ask you directly if this is your first job, say yes. I would look for a construction or landscaping job, since it is summer.
