How can I get a job like Samantha Brown's?

Should i get a second job this summer?

  • im a college student who attends college locally and am off for the summer. i am looking into maybe getting a second job, which i am still unsure about. my girlfriend wants us to work together so we can submit the same hours. she is 16 now and about to turn 17 the beginning of july. i am currently 19. i currently work for a tv station in the bronx from 8am-12pm every monday wednesday and thursday. my hourly rate is $8/hr and its considered a paid internship. i also spend $32 in transportation there too per week ($20 gas & 12$ in parking). i live 1 hour away and i usually get home at 1pm. and i get paid bi-weekly. so rough over and around $150 every 2 weeks. so i was thinking about getting another job. some places i was interested in working include old navy, charlie browns steakhouse, and BJ's wholesale club. i have a little information of some of the places to put into consideration: charlie browns- some of my friends work there, and one of them could probably get me a job. i'd wanna waiter. i hear it's good money and i have the patience to deal with people, im just curious if people can tell me if its a good job to do in general, or whether i should go to a store and work like the other options listed below BJ's- one of my friends said to put him down for a Reference and he'll get me the job. they pay $8.25/hr and you get a quarter raise after 3 months. id be working at cashier and punching receipts at the front door. old navy- my friend works there and i'd probably be a sales associate, folding clothes and helping customers. she makes $8.25/hr but she might have started at $8/hr but i am not sure.

  • Answer:

I'd go for waiter. I'm a waitress. Love me some tips! But idk how it is where you live, I live in the south. You just aren't southern without leaving a tip it's a pretty ****** move here. Ha one of the things I love most about being here. It's not bad either, but you're ALWAYS going to have that one person who's middle name is difficult or obnoxious. If you're not used to being quick and having a good memory, I'd pick the other two jobs.
