What kind of jobs can I earn with this degree?

The majority of liberal arts degrees, including this one, do not have any specific career paths associated with them. That is precisely the distinction between a "liberal arts" degree and a "professional" degree (nursing, engineering, computer science...anything that is directly tied to a certain field of employment.) Subjects that are taught in public schools could lead to a teaching career if you do the teaching certification as well. I'm not sure whether this degree would allow you to become a teacher or not. You would have to look into that before committing to anything. People who get degrees with no concrete career prospects aren't doomed to poverty. The mid-career median salary is dead average for these people usually (which is around $50k). That's compared to other Bachelors degree holders. The issue is that they seldom end up in a career that is related to their education. Take any random sampling of six English degree holders at age 40, and you'd probably see an English teacher, a retail store manager, a sales account manager for an industrial lubricant company, a guy who started a small landscaping company, someone who went back to school to become a nurse, and a warehouse logistics manager. These people could all conceivably be earning about the same salary, despite having vastly different jobs. I'm just inventing jobs, but do you see my point? The degree you're looking at won't give you any certainty for the future. Most people end up doing alright as time goes on, but who knows how long that will take? It's very likely that you would end up looking for the same low-wage jobs that you had before immediately following graduation, but having a degree lets you get promoted over time to management positions more easily than someone who never went to school. So it's a longer road to reach a nice income level, and who knows how long it will take?
