What are some interesting careers in health care?

Careers in health and social care...!?

• I'm 23, have a level 2 in health and social care and a NVQ3 in health and social care for adults, ive also done some counselling courses.. Currently i work full time at a residential care home for people with learning disabilities and mild mental health problems, I've just took the position as a team leader whilst covering maternity leave. I was a support worker so its great that i've climbed up the ladder and got the opportunity, I do love my job and have been there for 3 years, but in the long run im just stuck on my career... I do like the sound of social work or working with young offenders but i just really don't know where to start.... I was at the hospital earlier and loved the feel of the hospital and nurses etc... But i don't know if even nursing is a right choice... I know its my decision and obviously you cant choose for me but just looking for some advice! I do prefer the idea of helping people with problems etc... More than the nursing side of things so i think a career in the social sector is more ideal.. Thanks guys.

  Well I can say that if u are not 100% positive if u want to be q nurse then I would do the career in social services in a health care setting. Nursing takes 150% commitment and dedication, my baby boy is in the hospital and he has some great nurses that it seem as they love him like he is thier family and some nurses that seem to be there for the check. So I think and believe that if u have any doubts of becoming a nurse then don't become one. U can be a social worker in a health care setting that works with families that loved ones are sick or dying. That way u can have the best of both in the health care setting but doing the social work u love. Good luck
