What should I say in my follow-up call after an interview?

What should I say on the phone when I call a bank manager about a job interview?

  • I want to make the right wording when I call him. I was with a friend a few days ago at the bank while he was talking to a financial advisor about a loan. I was just in the room, and the advisor (also the manager) asked me what I do, and I said that I'm finished school and am looking for work. He offered to possibly get me an interview if I want. He gave me his card and told me to give him a call soon. I called the first day after, and left a message. I hadn't gotten any call back, and apparently he never recieved my voicemail message. I want to call again and try to actually reach him this time. What exactly should I say though. Should I tell him that I was with Spencer* about his loan and am calling because I am interested in working for the bank...something along those lines. and when is the best time of the day to call...

  • Answer:

Just be direct with him say hello You informed me the other day that there was a career opening in your branch I was just calling to find out if ITs still available DONT waffle on just tell him y your calling
