Job Application "what are areas you'd like to improve on"?

As a receptionist, " being more assertive" should probably be a last option. There are other impressive reasons: a) Customer Relationship... Since you will be in the Reception, and are also probably handling telephones and speaking with customers, you are the only " Link" between your office and the outside world. A lot depends on your politeness, dulcet voice, conversational ability, and ability to deal with even a bit angry customers at times. So these should be pointed out as possibilities where you can improve on. We all need improvement in these areas, hehehe b) Clerical, Administrative and Secretarial support - this needs good typing skills, good knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, making graphs etc Knowledge of local laws would be an advantage c) since you will be the first person someone meets, you should also be able to handle emergency situations in the workplace and give whatever assistance you can provide. d) General filing system, e) inventory of office supplies if this is part of your job description These are what I could think of... If you are deficient or needs to improve any of these areas, you can list them as possible things. Good luck! :)
