How easily can one get an on-campus job?

Will I ever get a job? I feel like I won't ever get one. :(?

  • I have applied about 10 times or so and still the answers were no. I am 18 years old and I want to work. I am jealous because my boyfriend has a job. I feel like I will never get a job. Apparently, I might be a bit young and I should wait until I'm older when I'm 20 or so. I feel like I fail all the time. It's impossible for me to get a job. So if I can't get a job, I'm stuffed really. lol.

  • Answer:

    go to university, trust me.

The first job is the hardest to get. Do what I did--get out there and apply apply apply, every day. Go to those places where you might not want to work forever, and apply, Don't quit until you get a job, even though it is discouraging, you can do it! Don't be afraid to go back to the places where you have already applied and re-apply. A lot of places admire people who are serious, so you might make an impression and get a job. Ask everyone you know if they know where anyone is hiring, and go there right away and apply. If they don't know of a job opening, ask them to call you if they hear of one. Talk to strangers in line at the bank or the supermarket. Tell them you are looking for work, and do they know of anyone hiring. Beat the bushes, and don't give up! ( make sure if a stranger gives you a tip that it is a legitimate place of business of course). Good Luck!

Lie. Say you worked at mc donalds for 5 months. They will not question it, and they will not call. Trust me, it will work. When you get the job, pay attention, give it everything you have, do your best. Then you'll have something to put on a resume.

Don not worry. Find online part time jobs which pay you well and gives you comfort. You can earn as much you want and you can work whenever you like to. No time bounds no limitation of hours. Create gigs on Gigstrade.com and give a right price for your gig and start earning. Happy earning

Completely understand why you feel as you do, but it isn't you. Jobs are in such short supply that applying 10 times is (sadly) nothing...keeping applying and sooner or later you will get a job. It's just hard to convince yourself of that right now.
