How hard is it to find a job right now?

Is it really that hard to find a job right now?

• I graduate in June.... I've started applying here and there, haven't heard anything. Getting nervous... Is the economy THAT bad? I found my last job within 2 weeks of looking. That was just last year....but I have to leave it after I graduate.

  Here's an important question... Are you graduating from high school or college? I would be highly skeptical about a lot of the opportunities you find online- a lot of them can be scams and end up in you losing money instead of making it. The economy really depends on what part of the nation you live in right now. Any cities that are really big in the car industry are getting hit tremendously. I live in Texas... and yes, things are bad... but not horrible if you are well qualified. This brings me back to the first question. It will be really hard for you to find an excellent job if you don't have a degree regardless of whether the economy is bad or not. if you are graduating from high school... I would HIGHLY encourage you to take courses at any college. It will open up a LOT of opportunities to whatever it is you want to do. A degree is really important right now... and even people getting Bachelors degrees are still going to Grad school because the economy is kind of in the slumps. I do believe that college is just not for some people. However, it is the safe option right now. Do whatever you can to go to school... and honestly, it will probably be fun! I'm having a blast as an undergrad right now. Anyway, good luck in whatever it is that you pursue! Follow your dreams...
