How did you pick your career path?

  • and what career path do you think, would work best towards my interests, and things i am actually good at. yes i have sucken so low to find an answer that i am actually asking complete strangers what my career path should be. :p but yeah. i analyze things all the time. and i'm too logical like i actually ruined twilight for myself, simply because, i knew how they were running so fast, so it made it look faker, (also i read the book much better :p) and i like write, i'm making up stories in my head, when i'm bored in class. also i like to do expirements, i'm terrible at math. drawings is fun, but i'm bipolar, i end up getting mad when i try to draw the image in my head. photography is alright, but i mean my photos aren't that good. i like law shows, but i'm too shy. so yeah, here is my questions: 1. what's your career path? or what do you plan to be your career? 2. why is that it? 3. with hte information i gave you about myself, which career do you think would work best with that information. 4. did you like the twilight movie? or was the book better. :P

First, stop doing things in your head, it's not real accomplishment, that's detachment from reality, so get it on paper. Writing and drawing are memory enhancement tools, use them or have a nervous break down. On the flip side, writing and drawing are also a way to get into that zone of creativity that accomplished people crave. Leonard De Vinci had it, Einstein had it, Andy Warhol had it and you can have it too. Kids often get into it but they don't have the intellectual tools. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flow_(psychology) 'i analyze things all the time. ' for what. Here's a thought, be a critic, that's writing and analyzing put together. Does the news of people getting raped and killed piss you off? Then law may be the direction for you, like in prosecution.

i remember when i was struggling with the same question when i was younger. i had no idea what i wanted to do. it made me really question my interests vs passions. i was always good at art, but didnt think it was something i really wanted to dabble in or work with ever day for the rest of my life. i also had a love for science. i was freakishly good at it and math always came very easy for me. i already spoke two other languages besides english and my father had a business that he wanted to hand down to me. so i was stumped. what to do. i didnt want the business so that ruled out business/marketing. so it was down to science or art. science was easy for me.i had a strong passion for it and knew i could do that every day of my life. but there was something about art that i couldnt stop doing. i was very good at it... sooo what did i choose? i knew i had a lot to learn about art... and i knew my love for science wouldnt stop even if i studied anything different... so i went to art school. it was something that i loved, but knew i had to attend school to really get better. and i knew i wouldnt do it anymore if i didnt attend.... i never left science behind.. i still study it in my free time and incorporate it into my art. actually after art school im going back to school for a degree in med school. that way i can illustrate medical books. both art aaaannnddd science. I LOVE IT! and as for you... go with whats hard for you. you are an analyzer you said, a very logical person. well so am i. it just makes art that much more of a challenge for you. dont go for whats easy in life, because then what could you have said you really accomplished? something you were already good at? thats not much of an accomplishment. why dont you take what you like and combine them. theres always a way. many colleges these days let you create your own "major" by combining classes that dont necessarily go together to suit your needs. dont be afraid. you succeed in areas in life that you heart is in... so follow what your gut says. because if you dont,... you will hate it whatever you choose and you will never succeed to your true potential
