Am I going to be Fired?

Do you think i’m going to get fired because of this?

  • i work at the movie theater I just got home and I got a new voicemail message from my work saying they need me today. My shift starts in 25 mins. I also left my phone at home! And i got a call from them on my phone too. I also live 45 minutes away from work and since no one is going to drive me to work, i’m going to have to bus there :(. I don’t know if they’re going to believe me what i’m going to say that i just got home, just got their message and left my phone at home and no one will drive me to work. And i’m also going to ask them if they need me and i dont know if they will cuz im going to be late help pls.!!

    They should not fire u if u weren't sheduled 2work. & if u were sheduled then they might just punish u some way by lesser hours or suspention. Just call & say u can't make it but if u got a bad history of this with them then they might go hard on u.

All you can do is call and tell them you just got the message and tell them what time you can get there. They don't need or want all the gory details. If they still need you even though you cannot get there on time they will tell you that and if not they will tell you that.

If you weren't scheduled to work today, there shouldn't be an issue at all. You coming in would be helping them out, not required. Call before you try to go in to make sure they still need you.

Just calmly tell them what happened and you shouldn't be fired otherwise there just being assholes

Thats so unfair lol out of no where they just randomly call you in no matter where you are and say your starting in 25 mins but or Ill just say to them is just I wont make it in 25 mins If I were to get ready and leave now but Ill get there in 45 mins well thats up to you to say when you will get there but I doubt they will be angry if you said you cant make it in 25 mins as long as your going to get their as quick as possible then its fine
