How do i find my career path?

• I really dont know what im doing anymore. I got out of high school with nothing to do. Instead of staying at home on the computer, i went to a trade school and took automotive service. Its been 2 years and I am now a technician. To me, its just a job, i work to get paid. I dont love my job, i dont hate it, i just dislike it. It can get extremely fustrating at times when I dont know how to do something, or if something gets stuck, or something is really hard to get to/remove/repair etc. I am really pressured and have to work as fast as i can. It is really stressful and Id rather work in a calmer environment instead of a really fast paced and stressful environment. Sometimes i get really angry at work.. I usually dont get this mad but sometimes things dont go right and i take too long to make a repair. I used to get take out my phone and look at pictures of the girl i like. Shes not interested in me, but when i see her, my anger dies a little. Then i take a deep breath and get back to work. If i quit my job, i will have nothing to do with my life. The only thing i want is a job i will like. A job where i will wake up happy because i have to work... but how can i start to search for this dream job when i dont even know what i like? I really dont know what to do with my life. Thought i would post up on yahoo answers and see if anyone could point me into the right direction.

  Try taking a career aptitude test. Google that phrase, there are many out there. Good on you for getting as far as you have! Many people would have chosen to simply sit around and wait for something to come along. I have no idea of the demand in your area, but it seems to me that automotive technicians could get a job at lots of places. Have you tried applying at the smaller automotive places? It kinda sounds like you're at a really big, impersonal shop.
