How can I get a job in 15 years old?

I'm 15 years old, how do i get a job?

  • I'm 15 years old, living in England and I need money. I know what kinds of jobs I can get at my age (paper rounds, babysitting etc) but I have no idea how to actually get any of these jobs. I have a work permit and I wouldn't mind working in a shop, so would I just ask for a job at the shop or is there a website or something that tells you available jobs for teenagers?

  • Answer:

make up a resume and hand it around. i know this might seem silly because it is your first job, but it can have your contact information on it, references, any hobbies or volunteer work you have done, languages you speak, etc.

Technically you can't unless your are 16 and up (that's for the US only). But you can make quick money online. Google it.

Paper round is the only realistic option - just go into a newsagent and ask if they have a vacancy. There is no website for teenagers (ever heard of age discrimination....?).

Babysitting is your best bet! - you can put up ads around your neighborhood - in stores, flyers on trees and ect. If you have neighbors with children or know of..let's say an older women who has grandchildren ect. you can tell them you are looking for babysitting jobs! I got all of my babysitting jobs from neighbors. They saw I was old enough and needed a babysitter and my mother would talk to them and tell them I am willing. There may also be somewhere online like craigslist in America idk if theres something like that in your area, you can ask around...a website where you can post babysitting jobs available or post that you are looking!..or any other jobs around gl!

you have to go to different shops and ask if they are hiring

There is probably a website if you look really hard, but it is easier just to go into shops and ask if they have any jobs available. If they do, they might ask for a CV (curriculum vitae) and you may have to create one. If they don't, but might do in the future, just give them a contact number/email which they can contact you when they have a free space
