I agree...it can be hard to start your own photography business. This is do to everyone wanting to do it with the camera they have out today. Just remember if you try to get people to come to you you need to have some creative way to draw people in....

This is just a small suggestion but if you would like to major in photography i think you could find a college that gives you a semester to work at disney world where maybe you could apply to be a photopass photographer. Also you still can get a photography job even if it is a minor and depending on your resume and where you apply etc.. it could or could not be hard to find a photography job.

1) Yes. Good jobs are few and far between, and the not not-so-good jobs are earning a little over minimum wage doing school photos for companies like Jostens, or family portraits at the mall. Most photographers try to get freelance work on the side while the work a steady day job, whether that day job is related to photography or not. 2) If you're a good photographer, with a portfolio to display your talent, nobody will care how you learned your skills.

Believe in yourself and your talents. It is good to learn any craft. Having the look of a professional is half the battle. Get all the big stuff you can to impress your clients and if you look the part and have talent, then you believe it and your customers will too. Do not think of why you can't. Only think of how wonderful it is when you are living your dream. You want to do it , you can do it, now go do it!!!!!!!
