JOB SEEKER ALLOWANCE?

WHY IS IT THAT I DONOT GET PAYED JOB SEEKER ALLOWANCE WHEN I GO TO SIGN ON..I AM THE ONLY PERSON THAT I KNOW OF THAT DONOT GET JOB SEEKER ALLOWANCE.BECAUSE I GET AN ARMY PENSION FOR SERVING 23 YRS.SO THIS IS HOW THIS COUNTRY SERVES ITS EX-SERVICE PERSONNEL..WELL I SAY SHAME ON THE GOVERNMENT.

Your pension qualifies as income and it doesn't have to be army pension as other pensions are treated the same if the income is sufficient that you can self sustain yourself which the purpose of Jobseekers Allowance that is provided for those who have insufficient incomes.

Because you no doubt have a pretty good pension after 23 years in public employment. Your pension was paid for largely out of taxpayers' money. You don't need any more money from us, and you're not getting any.
Because you originally didn't join the army for the money you get. You got paid, travelled around the world, probably did the many things you enjoyed. It is not all about killing enemies. Police officers, fire brigade, nurses etc serve their country too so do all the others who have paid taxes but they don't expect special treatment either. Rules are for everyone.
Its because you type in capital letters. The government employees dont like it!

Jobseeker's allowance is supposed to provide people with a bare minimum amount of money to live on, because they have no other income. If you have other income, you are not entitled to it as you do not need it. It is very possible that you're entitled to other benefits, but not jobseeker's allowance.
