What should I expect at a Job interview?

I have a job interview next monday for the first time! What can i expect to be asked?

  • Hi, i applied for a job at my local supermarket a few months ago and i recieved a call yesterday asking me if i was available for a interview, so it was arranged for next monday. This would be my first proper job as the only experience i have had is working in a chinese for 4 months, and i didnt need to have a interview. I need some advice on what to expect and how to handle it. Im 16 btw. Thanks for any answers Ryan

    Dress smart/casual, Then just be friendly. They just ask you things like what you did at school, your grades, why you want to work for them, would you be ok doing full time or part time contract hrs, where you see yourself in the future eg. would you like to work your way up the ranks. Its not that bad once you get over your nerves. They just want to get to know you to see whether you would be suitable to work there. To be honest there not normally that fussy, as long as your attendance is good and your a hard worker.

I agree with dressing nice. pretend you're going to church or something. Try to keep calm and not nervous. Maintain eye contact when talking with people but don't hold it too long so its creepy. Try and be fairly outgoing and friendly because they want you to be that way to their customers. Really, just be "the perfect employee". Willing to work hard, flexible, nice, etc. Once you've got the job you can pull back just a little.

First question I always ask(including females): Do you have hair on your nuts? Depending on the answer is whether they get the job or not. I could care less about anything else.
