Answer:
I suggest you find a job which you would enjoy. Ask guidance from God and He will surely direct your path. If you can help other unfortunate people, you will be blessed. You will find happiness in your heart and that’s what counts most. One thing more is, give. Learn to tithe… give 10% of your earnings to the church where you are a member or where you are attending. Read this article of Joel Osteen (author of “My Best Life Now”) that I copied and pasted. How do I increase money, God's way? First of all, God is a covenant keeper. In Malachi 3, he tells us to pay our tithes and offerings. Many people have told me the tithe is Old Testament. However, Jesus said in Matthew 23, that you should tithe but not ignore justice, mercy and faith. By tithing, you are giving back to God the first of your increase. Our offerings are over and above the tithe. Through the tithe and offering, we move into financial covenant with God. Psalm 35:27 tells us God delights in the prosperity of his children.

I think you've answered your own question by recognizing that it will be difficult to find another job and that you need the money at this time. Is your job really consuming your entire life as you say? How many hours a week do you work? Why do you think your friends are backing away from you? Friends should understand that you will be busy at times in your life. I think your best bet is to continue at your current job while looking for a new one. It may be difficult to juggle all that but it will all be worth it in the end.
i think you should keep your job. people need the money these days.
Now is not the time. It could be a long time to find work in this economy. Then find another job before you quit this one.
