Nervous about my first day on a the first job?

Can i quit my job after my first day?

  • after my first day of job, i really want to quit. i don't feel comfortable working at that place. but i don't know how to quit after the first day, i never done it before. my friend told me i should just not go and they would stop calling me. but i think it's irresponsible and i simply can't do it. but i don't want to continue working for another day. can someone give me some advice? i really want to quit this job but i feel guilty quitting after my first day of work because i feel it's not the right thing to do. but i don't want to work for another day. should i write a letter?

  • Answer:

If you don't want to work there, you should let the manager know that you're not coming back and why. While they may not be happy, they will respect you for letting them know. If you quit going, it may hurt you with other employers. It's a small world and don't burn any bridges.

Just call them and tell them that you've decided otherwise, or that you are not interested, and that they will need to look for someone else to fill their position.

Why don't you give it a week and see if you still feel the same way? It could get better or it could remain the same or it could get worse. Make a pact with yourself to stick it out for one week, knowing you can walk away if you still feel the same way after one week. Also, remember there are few jobs out there and you are lucky to be employed.

Give it one more day. If you still want to quit by the end of the day, then tell them you won't be coming back. Jobs are not so easy to find these days.

I appreciate your responsibility, Yeah its good decision that you want to quit but you want to inform your office management. Simply write a letter or just email your department.

Try and go for atleast 2 more day, and if you truly don't like it. talk to the manager...or Call the boss when your home and tell him.
