What is the highest paying nursing career in Australia?

Which career path should i choose?

  • I am a trainee accountant at present with 2 years of study done, been in my first accountancy job for a month now, so it is really too early to tell exactly how good i am, and I have another 3.5 years of study left until I qualify. Before starting accountancy I did nursing at university for a year but had to leave because of a medical reason which is now fine. The accountancy would give me a better future, but I find it very hard and wonder if I will get through the exams that are coming up. I worry that I will waste more years on it to fail in the future or become a second rate accountant. The nursing would be a low paying career and I might struggle financially until I have been doing it for several years, but I find it very easy and it comes naturally. The course starts up again in a week and its my last chance to go back and complete. Do i stick with accountancy and throw away the safe bet of nursing, in hope that it gets easier? or do I throw away all the hard work in accountancy over the last 2 years and go and do the nursing that I am guaranteed to succeed with? Opinions please - I have been pondering this for 3 months now and uni starts next week. Paul

  • Answer:

Stick with accountancy as the pay is good and you can always use your nursing experience for working with medical firms as they need accountants,There is better pay working in the finance industry.
