What kind of job can a 13, and 14 year old get?

    i don't know what the age limit where you live but i'm sure you can't do real work like retail or grocery store at your age. i think you are bit too young, you can def do babysitting though! when one of my friends was your age she worked at a church and helped with the kids. she got paid for it so maybe if you go to church you can ask if people there needs help.

A lot of businesses wont take on 13 and 14 year olds, especially with the current unemployment rates. One really good way of making money really fast is cakes. Make them at home and with two of you, one can be in the kitchen baking them and the other going door to door selling them or go into town and sell them to passers by or to business at lunch times. Cake mixes will cost about $5 and from one batch you could make up to $20 perhaps but this is only from experience iv had, but good luck!! Everyone loves a good cake :D

McDonald's hires 14+. Other than that, it's mostly just paper delivery jobs.

I don't know if the laws are the same over there but here in the UK the only job you can get at 13 is a paper route. And at 14 you can be a dish washer...being the US i'm assuming (not 100%) that the laws on minors employment are stricter...

you usually cant work untill 15 , once youre in highschool you can get a work permit but im not sure if anyone hires 13 or 14 year olds.

There are only a few things that you can do at that age. Both of you can babysit, depending on the law in MN. At 14, I believe you could work for just a few hours a week. You can get paper routes, I started that when I was 12. Collect cans and recycle.
