What should I expect at my second interview?
-
Okay, I went for a preliminary interview today and I passed with flying colours. I impressed the Director so much, I didn't even have to suffer the agony of awaiting a phone call, I got offered a second interview there and then. Anyway the company is a marketing company, door to door sales, sales at events, etc, it's only commission but I am desperate for money and as long as I'm being paid I can handle rejection. Now, my interview tomorrow is with the Love Film department as they have recently acquired a contract with Love Film and I have been told to arrive at 11:45am and that the interview could last until 8pm. I know there were 10 people picked (including me) out of 30 today and I just want to get an idea of what to expect at this interview. What should I expect at this interview?

Answer:
OK...you are in the UK so I GOOGLED "Love Film" and here is what I found on Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LoveFilm I think this is the company that the company you want to work for is dealing with. Read this and google more about this company. This way you will be able to show some knowledge of their new contract company. You should also be able to ask intelligent questions about Love Firm that would make you standout in the crowd of 10 people....intelligent questions...not know-it-all stuff. They want to have their new client see you and the other candidates. They want to make sure they choose a good fit! So dress accordingly, be out going but show also a team-player side too. Knowledge and approriate GOOD questions based on this reading research will nail the job for you Good Luck

the first interview is usually a fluff interview seeing if you meet the requirements in person. The second interview is more job focused. Expect to be asked questions relating to your previous employers and how your experiences will benefit the new job. Remember after the interview to send a thank you email. Good Luck!

Expect more of the same. It's just with a different department and they will ask mostly the same stuff and also questions more focused on the actual job. But mostly more of the same. You impressed the director and he wants to see if you impress them also. You got it nailed !!!!
