You should try searching answers for your question. I just answered 4-5 of the same question this week. Here is a previous answer copied and pasted. Even in that answer, I warned that person to ignore Kapn. Your associate's degree is not worthless and someone that tells you that your education is worthless is ignorant. I know many individuals graduating with an associates that had NO trouble finding a job. I cut out some parts that didn't pertain to your question. The simple answer is, no one can foresee the future, predict whether you are going to get hired, or run the statistics to see what you'll get paid, how many hours you will work, etc. Do you own research in your area and that will be the best indicator of salary, hours and workload. Contact paralegal associations, join paralegal associations, attend seminars and take your profession seriously. It is the best advice anyone can give you. --- My caveat: I am currently employed as a construction litigation paralegal in the state of Texas. I possess an AAS in Paralegal Studies. I always state this because people love to answer this question when they are: a) not a paralegal; b) was a paralegal decades ago and know nothing about the profession now; c) never attended a paralegal program and/or d) once dated a paralegal, married an attorney, etc but are STILL not a currently employed paralegal. Is it easy to get a job? Well, again. It is not the profession's job or responsibility and no one can accurately depict that for you. So many people blame the profession for their inability to get hired. If you are attending a quality program and are able to demonstrate that you understood the legal concepts taught to you, I don't see you having a problem. To Kapn who has misguided you into thinking that you cannot get hired with an associate's degree, I am living proof that you can and have a rewarding career. I am paid well, make VERY nice bonuses and have benefits. Your ability to be hired is dependent on YOU. If you apply yourself, write a good resume, act as a professional, present yourself as a professional and don't wait until a semester before graduation to start looking for a job, you will be fine.
