Can I cash my cheque in the post office?

Do you have to cash your job seekers allowance cheque at a specific post office?

  • My niece needs to know asap - and I can't find an answer anywhere!

  • Answer:

JSA is normally paid into a bank account these days. If they do offer a cheque option, though, I would imagine they would need to specify which post office you will be using. To get the actual answer, perhaps phone up your Jobcentre - they will know for sure.
