What careers can Law School open to me?

  • I'm interested in attending a law school, what careeers would open up to me upon graduating?

  • Answer:

Law school opens lots of different doors. Most obviously, you could practice law, but a law degree can also get you into the FBI, CIA and most types of federal, state and local law enforcement. Deborah Arron wrote a book "What Can You Do With a Law Degree?: A Lawyers' Guide to Career Alternatives Inside, Outside & Around the Law, which is a must read if you want alternatives. One thing to remember is that law school teaches you to think like a lawyer, to be analytical, methodical, systematic, etc. So just about any career that requires these types of traits would be suited for a person with a law degree. In my opinion, a law degree is a very flexible degree which carries a certain amount of prestige. So what can you do with a law degree? Just about anything you want.
