What should I do to become a paralegal?

Do I have to have a degree to become a paralegal? if so what kind? and what classes do i need to get it?

  • I am a single mom, so I don't have too many options. I have a little college under my belt, but not a lot. I think I may be considered a freshman still. I don't have a degree. I want to get a better job and my friend told me about a paralegal job. What do I need to do to get a job like that? Must I have a degree? Or is there some kind of training course that I can take in order to get certified to do this? Any info. you can give me would be really helpful.

now in days it seems that an employer prefers experience, so if you have at least 5 years working in a law firm that should do it, however a degree is always an A+ many community colleges offer paralegal AA or vocational schools which you can finish in 9months Good Luck Hun
