Need help with a job application?

I need help with my job application?

  • I've never had a job before so and I'm filling out applications and it's asking for job history but not for references. Idk what to put because if they don't have any references I probably won't get hired.

  • Answer:

I would just speak with the hiring manager when you go to hand in your application. Be honest with him/her, and say "I couldn't fill out my employment history because this will be my first job. I can provide you with reference that can attest to my hard work ethic and intelligence, which are some of the qualities I look forward to bringing to your company." Unless you're applying for a position that is far-fetched for a first job (i.e. manager or something), they will have had applicants with your lack of experience before. You just need to be assertive and confident and you will be fine.

If you have no job history then there's nothing you can put. Or if you volunteered at places, then you should list those and make sure you put volunteer.

Failure Is Not An Option

everyone had to start some where. if you have never had a job before, you can't put anything down. if this is an entry level position, it might not matter. if you lie on your application, you won't get hired either.

Tell them that you can provide references at your interview. As for the job history you've don't have any so you have nothing to worry about you're just being honest.
