How to quit my job? What is an excuse you gave your employer?

My employer fired me but gave me 2 wks to find another job. I didn't take the 2wks can i still get unemployme?

• He fired me and said some horribly mean things to me and told me 'out of the kindness of his heart' he would give me 2 weeks to find another job. I didn't stay after he fired me and i filed for unemployment and now after I have received it and found another job they are fighting it and saying that I quit because they offered me 2 wks and i didn't take it. The way I see it I was fired because even if I had of stayed those 2 wks I would have had no choice but to leave at the end. Any one know what the laws are on this in Arizona? Or where I could find better information on my case? Thanks for any input/info!

  Honestly, you did quit of your own accord. You could have stayed the extra two weeks and then you would have been eligible for unemployment.
