Best way to get a waitressing job with no experience?

• Alright, well I just got "let go" from my coffee shop job yesterday because of the owner deciding to cut everyone's hours, and since there were too many employees there and not enough hours, myself being the new person got sacked. :( Needless to say I'm looking for a new job and I really wanted to try out waitressing, problem is I have never done it before and I don't even know how to go about getting a waitressing job.... I was wondering if somebody could give me some tips and advice on who would hire me, what time to go apply for a job at a restaurant, who to ask for, what to do, etc... I know waitress positions have a high turnover rate but at the same time, everybody wants experience.. right? Please help. Any advice is appreciated.

  These jobs are always available. You can approach a company you would like to work for. You could write a letter stating that you would be willing to train and saying why you would like to work for that company. You will have to do your research. Another route you can take is to volunteer for a charity to gain experience.
