  • Can anyone with a Bachelor degree in Biological Sciences and graduate study in Clinical Analysis work as a laboratory technologist? Where else could someone with this degree work?

  • Answer:

Medical technologists (also known as clinical or medical laboratory scientists) have a BS degree in medical technology or one of the life sciences and are certified by the ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology). Usually a one year clinical internship is completed during the senior year or post-baccalaureate in preparation for the certification exam.
