What is nursing school?

I dont know what to do about nursing school....?

• I am going to be a sophomore in nursing school. Basically long story short, my parents want me to do nursing way more than i actually want to. I feel as if im forced into it, if i told them about other majors they would be like "thats not good pay" or "you wont get a job doing that". I cant really back out of nursing (i feel) because my parents just bought my nursing packet for 500$!! and all of my clothes and classes are all ready for the semester. I wanted to do nursing at first, because they told me it would be such a great job and i would never have to worry about getting laid off. IS there any other jobs i can get into with the SAME nursing classes? like im not the smartest person so don't mention doctor or anything haha. THanks.

  Well whos life is it? Would you rather have a life where you are happy doing the job you do or one where your parents are happy with the job that you do? Nurses dont actually get that great money, they actually get paid rather poorly for the work and hours they have to do. You can back out of nursing. Its your parents fault if they waste money trying to force you into something you dont want to do And you do need to worry about being laid off....nurses get fired all the time. They are the first to go when hospitals have to make cuts.. They honestly dont know what they are talking about.
