Are you a nurse? Do you enjoy your job?

Registered nurse or lisenced pratical nurse?

  • Nurses out there! Help! I am stuck between the two. I like what LPN's do as a job i wanna b the kind of nurse that take blood pressure n vital signs n that kind of stuff, well, i actually would enjoy working as a CNA but they dont get paid well enough......! And RN get a nice size salary a year but what they do as a job doesnt really interest me much but then again, i would enjoy working as a RN tho. and LPN is basicly like a RN but kinda of a mixture of RN and a CNA. I dont know....but, I have a family to take care of and i want to b able to pay bills n still have some money on the side.. What should i do?? I would like to work as a CNA but the pay isnt wat im looking for. LPN is cool, i wouldnt mind working as that niether, and RN is top notch and great pay but hard work and not really the kind of nurse i would want to be... thanks in advance, desiree

  • Answer:

what you can do is become a LPN at a local community college. Then work. And if you want to advance to an ADN RN program you can go back to that same college and apply for their LPN bridge program to ADN RN (it means you get advanced placement and basically skip to year 2 of ADN program).
