Can someone going to massage therapy school get a job at a spa before they are done with school?

Answer:
In most states, as a receptionist, yes. As a massage therapist, no. Some of my classmates had jobs lined up before they finished school but could not start until they had their licenses in hand.

you can work in a spa as something as long as you are not a massage therapist, to work as one you must be licensed. Its still a regulated profession so you must have completed the schooling and completed the licensing requirements of your state before you can work as one.
