fI am considering going to school for Medical Office Assistant I am wondering the salary and if it is in demand in Houston, TX

YOu will have to look for a specific income in your area, but in general it ranges from $9 to about $18 an hour. In many places they are also not in demand and over saturated; again you will have to search the job boards to get a sense of your area.

Do a little self help by looking at http://www.indeed.com or http://www.craigslist.com of your city (or zip code for Indeed.com). If you have plenty of listing for MA positions, then yes. If not, or if they only ask for "experienced MAs only!", then it is not.
