How can I break into the Healthcare field?

• I've been hearing that the Healthcare field is doing well in the job market with a high demand going for it. I've been thinking that this might be something I am interested in getting into. I have always had an interest in how the human body works, taking care of one self, exercising and taking good care of my health, and with other aspects in that area. I am trying to find out information about what areas of it would be good to pursue for work and a career. At the moment I am majoring in Accounting and Finance which I will be done with in a year from now. To be very honest I don't like Accounting and Finance at all, I only got into it because there is work for it with jobs but I find it to be VERY boring and don't have any interest in it whatsoever. Oh and no I am not going for the CPA or any other accounting/financial exam so please do not suggest that I take one of those. Any information, facts, and opinions that could be shared with me would be greatly apprecaited! Thanks!

  First, take an anatomy and physiology course. You might also have to take a biology course to get into A&P. From there, see if you actually enjoy these courses. if you don't, don't become a healthcare practitioner unless you want a long, boring grind to your degree. If you do like these courses it depends what you want to do and how much school you're wiling to put up with. You could get anything from a certificate in phlebotomy(blood drawing), which takes 6 months to a medical degree, which can take up to 10 years including residency. There are thousands of different jobs in healthcare. Talk to your college advisor after you try the anatomy course
