How do i become an Registered Nurse?

  • I am 22 yr old male, and lately i have been extremely depressed because i do not know what i want to do with my life. I have been in community college for over a year now and i feel like I'm not getting anywhere. I finally realized i would love to get into the medical field, i have always been very interested in this field. I decided i want to become a registered nurse. I am just having trouble knowing where to begin, I know i could get my associates in community college, but the problem with community colleges now are that the budget cuts have reduced classes, therefore it is very difficult to sign up for many classes, i know have only one class.. so i was wondering could i get my LVN at a vocational school i understand that it is a bit pricey but i think it is well worth it...can someone who is more experienced in this field please help me out, thank you.

    to become a RN-you MUST go thru 4 years of college. to be an LPN--local vo-tech school is perfect and you generally get done in 12-18 months. you will make less money as an LPN but you will always be able to find a job. good luck!
