Probably 18 for insurance purposes. I work as a CNA in a nursing home. We are paid much more than the laundry dept is.
I think it depends on the laws where you live. If you are a high school student, and not 18, maybe you can look into getting a worker's permit that allows you to work some hours. I'm thinking you have to be at least 18. My best advice for you is to call the facility that you are interested in and ask them.
