  • i love my job in care but it doesn't pay very well and im looking to have a more substantial job with career prospects. i have 2 years experience in working with a wide range of mental health issues from learning difficulties to autism and schizophrenia. i am 25 years old and willing to work extremely hard to get qualifications (i have no highers) but lots of certificates and training such as mental health first aid, first aid, health and safety, autism awareness, RACB, self harm etc etc. will i be able to skip the 1st year at college and go straight to uni?

I have recently been enquiring as I want to start nursing to. From what I understand you can become a lpn or lvn, or a RN. Which with an RN will require you to do an assoicates or a bsn. you have to do your preresquites first which can take a year or more than, 2 more years in community college for the adn, bachelors will take around the same amount of time.

Whether or not you can skip any classes is up to the university. Shop it around. It sounds like you would be an excellent Pschy nurse.
