Mental Health Nursing advice?
-
Hi all, I'm really interested in studying for a career in mental health. I've got an interview for a job as a nursing auxillary on an acute mental health ward at a hospital. I've looked around for people's experiences on the internet, and some say that it is really rewarding etc, butI've heard reports that it's also really stressful and a nightmare day in, day out. I was looking forward to it but now I am a little put off. I'd really appreciate advice from anyone with experience in this field. Thanks,

Answer:
No, I spent some time at a hospitals section for the head injury patients. Yes, it looked depressing that some patients never seemed to recover. But, it is very rewarding when you can see some patients that recover - just because of your help and love. /
