Medical Work Experiance Help!?

  • Hey! Im currently 16 and studying at 6th form college and Im looking to do some medical internships somewhere! Where is the best places to apply, like hospitals or a GP surgery? Is there an age restriction on it to work in a hospital? Also, is there a website I can go to which deals with medical camps abroad, say in africa or india or somewhere:D? Thanks!! Chris

I would think you can call up any hospital if you can volunteer or intern. The hospital I worked for allowed 16 year olds to get to know the nurses units, make copies, deliver charts to the units, billing, to the ER, clerical work. It was good and then they would later come to work at that hospital. As for the Africa thing I think your better off going with something like Feed the Children where you can visit along with them, assist them or even Red Cross might need volunteers. Good Luck.
