What is Dental Hygiene school like?

Is it a big deal to have braces while attending dental hygiene school?

This question might sound stupid but I am currently trying to get into the Dental Hygiene program at my school and if I do get in it will take 2 years to finish the program. If I am going to have a dental career I would like to get myself braces because my teeth are a little crooked. Does anyone know if you can have braces while in dental hygiene school? Because I know that we will be practicing on each other and I thought my braces would just get in the way. Thanks

You'll be fine, if anything, it will be more work/experience for the person cleaning you. lol
