International students studying nursing?

Nursing job??? any hospital career!? help!?

  • Nurses, Nursing students and hoping to be nurse people out there.. why do you think being a nurse or going for nursing program a great decision? nurses have 12 hour shifts.. and before you get the degree done you have to go through hell of studying.. so what makes it great that a lot of people wants to get in a program? i'm so confused right now.. i would really love to work in a hospital..but i don't want to be a doctor but want a salary like nurses have or more than that..is there any job in a hospital besides those two?(no radiology job please..) Thanks!

    I'm a nursing student. Yes it's hard i'm not going to lie, but it's worth it. Nurses don't have to work 12 hour shifts. It is a very flexible career. At first they are going to work you to death because you are new but once you get some experience you can choose what department you want to work in and your hours. With a nursing degree you don't have to be a nurse you can teach or get a masters degree an become a nurse practitioner or you can become a nurse recruiter, which is more of an office job . I believe nursing is a calling. It takes a certain kind of person.
