Associates degree in nursing help?

  • What basic courses would be most required for you to take in community college to receive Associates degree in nursing? And after taking these courses, receiving the ADN how would one find out what is actually required from a university to transfer to? Also if able to answer, how can I find out if the accreditation from certain community colleges is associated with certain universities? Because I've also done research it's just hard to find out if I get an ADN from one community college that it will still be applicable or recognized by a University in state or out of state of a certain residence.

  • Answer:

I was looking into nursing awhile back, idk where you are from... so ill tell you what i know different school have different requirements. IF you are planning to go into nursing and you don't have a huge need to get a job asap then go straight to you bachelors. I say this because with an associates you would be wasting a few semesters(because when you go to uni you would still have to get your b.s.). If you take this route talk to a councelor at school, or go to the universities web page go under prospective student find the major and minor section and then you'll be able to find transfer requirements and it will tell you what classes you need to transfer. Most community colleges are accredited!
